Wed Jan 31 – Mabel Wethington died at 6:50 a.m. To Covington in morning and to Newtown re. tax. Home rest of the day.
Sat Feb 3 – To Newtown in morning. Left about noon with Grace and Hibbards to Mabel Wethington’s funeral at New Market.

Wingate, Feb 1 – Mrs. Mabel (McCollum) Wethington, 21, wife of Sam Wethington R 1, died of an embolism yesterday in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville, where she gave birth to a daughter Tuesday evening. She was born near Hillsboro and belonged to St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Crawfordsville. Survivors besides her husband are three daughters; her mother, Mrs. Julia McCollum near Wingate; two brothers, Bernard and Otis McCollum, New Market and two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Boone and Mrs. Agnes Peffley, Crawfordsville - kbz
